When I had finished painting them and had put them all together side by side, my boy commented that they make him think of the circus, I looked at them again and knew what he meant and I quite like that about them, it may be my obsession with circus fonts subconsciously coming out. They were originally painted with Valentines in mind so that is the reason for all the hearts, I think it might be the hearts that are giving the circus vibe. I painted the base colour in layers to give the canvases a worn and loved feel. I also added diamante details which I think are subtle but give a lovely twinkle when they are on the wall and the light catches them or when you move through the room.
